• Republican senators have introduced a bill to protect babies who survive abortions and their bill comes just after House Republicans approved their version of the measure.
• Senators James Lankford (R-OK) and John Thune (R-SD) today introduced the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, legislation that protects infants who survive an attempted abortion to ensure they receive the same care as any other newborn.
• The House of Representatives passed its version of the Born-Alive Survivors Protection Act on January 11, by a vote of 220 to 210.
