GOP Claims ‘Nonpartisan’ Archives Colluded With Dems To Get Trump

  • GOP Reps. James Comer and Jim Jordan say they believe the “nonpartisan” National Archives and Records Administration colluded with Democrats to get the FBI to investigate whether former President Donald Trump had classified documents at his Florida estate.
  • Comer and Jordan wrote: “Committee Republicans have learned that NARA’s actions initiated the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) criminal investigation against the former president the same day committee Democrats inquired about whether a referral to DOJ had been made.”
  • The Congressman want all NARA records regarding “whether and to what extent Congressional Democrats influenced and coordinated” with the museum to initiate the probe that led to the FBI’s unprecedented raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.
