- Nikki Haley, the former governor of South Carolina and U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, suggested Thursday that Florida’s Parental Rights in Education law doesn’t go far enough.
- “Basically what it said was, you shouldn’t have to talk about gender before third grade,” Haley said during a town-hall-style event in Exeter, N.H., two days after releasing a video announcing her 2024 presidential bid.
- “I’m sorry, I don’t think that goes far enough. When I was in school you didn’t have sex ed until seventh grade,” she added.
