- The 66-year-old Zhao fatally shot four workers and wounded a fifth employee Monday at California Terra Garden, in San Mateo, California, about 30 miles south of San Francisco. Among them was the supervisor who demanded he pay the bill.
- Zhao after the shooting then allegedly went to nearby Concord Farms, where he had worked previously, and fatally shot three former co-workers.
- Zhao also said his complaints about having been bullied for years to work long hours on the farms were ignored.
