Fall at Starbucks is finally here!
The coffee chain announced that their Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) is returning to all locations on Aug. 22, which is the earliest start to the season at Starbucks than ever before. Along with the PSL, Starbucks is bringing back seasonal favorites and also introducing exciting new drinks.
The Iced Apple Crisp Nondairy Cream Chai is the newest addition to the autumnal bunch. An iced chai is topped with non-dairy cold foam (made with oat and soy milk) flavored with apple brown sugar syrup. The drink originated as a popular customization ordered by customers in previous years, according to a press release, and is meant to be “reminiscent of homemade apple pie.” Best of all, the apple crisp cold foam can be added to any iced beverage.
PEOPLE got a first taste of Starbucks’ fall menu and the Iced Apple Crisp Nondairy Cream Chai did not disappoint. Each sip is luxurious, full of cinnamon-sugar flavor and creamy, despite being dairy-free.
The other in-store drink options are all returning beverages, but that doesn’t make them any less exciting.
Marking its 21st year, the Pumpkin Spice Latte is just like fans remember it: full of real pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove and a whipped cream and pumpkin pie spice topping. The drink is available hot, iced or blended.
