Harvard Law Student Accused Of Racist, Homophobic Attack

The student reported was wielding a bat in the on-campus attack on a classmate.

  • The student Naod Nega, 27, was arrested last month and has been charged with assault and battery for the purpose of intimidation in connection with the Jan. 23  incident.
  • The charge are considered a hate crime under Massachusetts state law, and Nega has pleaded not guilty, the Harvard Crimson reported.
  • The assailant alleged punched a college student in an unprovoked attack and intimidated others due to their sexual orientation, the Cambridge Police Department said about the incident that allegedly occurred outside the law school library.
