‘Hawks Win NHL Lottery Draft, Set To Take ‘Generational’ Talent, 17-Year-Old Connor Bedard

The Chicago Blackhawks on Monday night won the NHL draft lottery and the right to select Canadian teen superstar Connor Bedard as the team’s first pick.

Bedard has for several years been the presumptive top pick for this year’s draft, consider he’s been called a “generational” talent and “The Future of Hockey.”

Bedard is a native of North Vancouver, British Columbia, and led all junior players across Canada with 72 goals and 143 points this past season in Canada’s Western Hockey League.
