- After news broke that there had been a break-in at her campaign office, Arizona Democrat gubernatorial candidate Katie Hobbs insinuated that her opponent, Kari Lake, was behind the stunt.
- Lake, understandably, didn’t take kindly to Hobbs’ remarks. “That is absolutely absurd,” Lake said. “Are you guys buying that? … I can’t believe she would blame my amazing people, blame me for something like that.”
- Turns out Lake was quickly vindicated. Daniel Mota Dos Reis, 36, a homeless man, was arrested and charged with breaking into Hobbs’ headquarters and stealing multiple item.
