House Dems Block Bill To Crack Down On Fentanyl

  • House Democrats blocked legislation intended to address the crisis of deadly fentanyl flowing across the southern border into American communities.
  • More than 100,000 Americans die every year from drug overdoses and poisonings, many of which are tied to fentanyl.
  • Despite that, 220 House Democrats blocked consideration of  Minnesota Republican Rep. Michelle Fischbach’s Halt All Lethal Trafficking of Fentanyl Act.
  • The bill would make it permanently illegal to sell fentanyl-related substances. Just two milligrams of fentanyl can kill one person.
