‘I Screwed Up’ Cryto Boss Admits

- Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of the bankrupt crypto exchange FTX, said Wednesday he “didn’t ever try to commit fraud on anyone,” though he admitting make mistakes running the platform.
- The 30-year-old Bankman-Fried made the comments at a virtual appearance at The New York Times’ DealBook Summit in New York.
- Bankman-Fried said he was “in shock” about FTX’s swift collapse this month but that he “didn’t ever try to commit fraud on anyone.”
- He also said, “There are things I would do anything to do over again.”
- Earlier this month, Bankman-Fried resigned as CEO of the platform after it and affiliated companies filed for bankruptcy in a stunning corporate implosion.
- FTX essentially experienced a run on the bank and quickly collapsed in the amid the ensuing liquidity crunch.
