A devastating incident took place in Indiana, resulting in the death of a man and injuries to his two teenage children, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Department.
The tragic accident occurred while the family was sorting through the belongings of an older relative and involved the detonation of a hand grenade.
The fatal explosion took place on Saturday evening at a residence situated in the Lakes of the Four Seasons community in northwestern Indiana, as reported by the sheriff’s department. The 47-year-old man, identified as Bryan Niedert, sadly lost his life as a result of the incident. His 14-year-old son and 18-year-old daughter sustained wounds and were taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
