Thomas Barrack, a billionaire friend and confidante of former President Trump, was found not guilty Friday on all charges in his trial on federal foreign lobbying allegations.
Barrack, 75, was the chair of Trump’s Inaugural Committee. He was accused of using his connections to Trump’s administration to try to sway U.S. foreign policy for a client, the United Arab Emirates.
“The system is amazing. People are amazing. I have no hostility, I’m just proud to be an American,” Barrack said, adding later that he is “done with politics.”
