Jury Finds Trump Friend Barrack Not Guilty Of Foreign Lobbying

  • Thomas Barrack, a billionaire friend and confidante of former President Trump, was found not guilty Friday on all charges in his trial on federal foreign lobbying allegations.
  • Barrack, 75, was the chair of Trump’s Inaugural Committee. He was accused of using his connections to Trump’s administration to try to sway U.S. foreign policy for a client, the United Arab Emirates.
  • “The system is amazing. People are amazing. I have no hostility, I’m just proud to be an American,” Barrack said, adding later that he is “done with politics.”
