- According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, Sarah Bils, a 37-year-old former non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy, is being investigated by the Justice Department for her purported role in helping spread classified documents that were recently leaked online.
- Bils, who served as an aviation electronics technician 2nd Class, is suspected to be behind the pro-Russian social media account “Donbass Devushka,” which played a part in disseminating the classified documents, initially leaked by Massachusetts Air Guardsman Jack Teixeira, to a larger audience.
- The Donbass Devushka accounts present a pro-Kremlin stance to an English-speaking audience and are popular on platforms such as Telegram, Twitter, and YouTube, and have multiple administrators, including Bils.
