- The “reasonable foreseeability of natural death” criterion is being eliminated from the Medical Assistance in Dying policy. This means that it will no longer be required for a person’s death to be reasonably foreseeable to receive MAID services.
- Starting in March 2023, Canadians whose only medical condition is a mental illness will be eligible for MAID.
