The House Oversight Committee on Wednesday shared a video of former White House Physician Kevin O’Connor’s deposition to the committee, where he invoked his Fifth Amendment rights on all questions regarding former President Joe Biden’s mental acuity.
O’Connor, who is one of multiple members of Biden’s inner circle expected to testify, previously asked for an exemption to the subpoena because of doctor-patient confidentiality concerns. But the White House on Tuesday waived executive privilege.
The House Oversight investigation is looking into the former president’s mental decline and whether his inner circle tried to conceal the decline from the public.
“EXCLUSIVE FOOTAGE: Joe Biden’s White House doctor, Kevin O’Connor, PLEADS THE FIFTH and REFUSES to answer if he was ever told to lie about Biden’s health or whether he believed Biden was unfit to execute his duties as president,” the committee posted on X alongside the video. “What are they hiding? WATCH THE DEPOSITION.”
