Kids’ Test Scores Show Historic Setbacks From COVID

The finding, which showed the impact of remote learning, are from the National Assessment of Educational Progress – known as the “nation’s report card.”

Hundreds of thousands of fourth- and eighth-graders across the country were tested this year.

The COVID-19 pandemic erased decades of academic progress and widened racial disparities, according to results of a test.

Test scores dropped in every region, and every state recorded a decline in at least one subject.
