Legendary Mad Magazine Cartoonist Al Jaffee Dead At 102

  • The award-winning cartoonist was perhaps best known–  and loved – for his Fold-In and the snark of “Snappy Answers to Stupid Questions.”
  • Jaffee died Monday in Manhattan from multiple organ failure, said a granddaughter.
  • He was known as a prolific cartoonist and magazine contributor, having retired at age 99.
  • Among Jaffee’s admirers were Charles M. Schulz of “Peanuts” fame, “Far Side” creator Gary Larson, and comedian Jon Stewart.
