‘Lion King’ Broadway Interpreter Says He Was Fired For Being White

- White “Lion King” Broadway interpreter Keith Wann has fired a federal discrimination lawsuit against the Theatre Development Fund, alleging he was fired from a job for the color of his skin.
- The lawsuit alleges the “Lion King” ASL director said Wann “is not a black person and therefore should not be representing Lion King.”
- “To me, just seeing that discrimination, it doesn’t matter if I’m white or black. This is blatant and I would just hope that other people who have also experienced this would step forward,” he told the New York Post.
