- Smith was immediate helped by medical staff and left the White House’s East Room in a wheelchair but gave a thumbs up.

“This is not the first time it has happened,” Biden said when the event resumed. “White House guests have fainted in the past and required a checkup at a doctor’s office built into the executive mansion.”
