- A pro-Russian hacking group, known as Killnet, took credit for taking numerous U.S. airport websites offline on Monday by launching a denial-of-service attack.
- Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), and Chicago O’Hare International Airport were among those affected.
- An FBI spokesperson said the agency is “aware of the incident” and representatives for LAX and ATL said their websites are now functioning and airport operations were not affected.
