Majority Unlikely To Pick Candidates Behind Student Debt Forgiveness: Poll

The majority of Americans are less likely to support candidates in favor of President Biden’s student loan forgiveness, according to a newly released survey data.

  • Date released by Convention of States Action, Trafalgar Group found  55.6% of likely midterm voters “less likely to vote for a candidate who supports President Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan.”
  • Forty-nine percent of those surveyed said “much less likely” to support such a candidate.
  • The survey comes after Biden announced in late August government would  forgive $10,000 to $20,000 in individual student loan debt .
  • Survey was taken Sept. 2-5.
