On Wednesday, a man was arrested for threatening passengers on a Bay Area Rapid Transit train with a meat cleaver, reportedly injuring one man in the back before stealing his pack.
The suspect, identified as 24-year-old Charles Johnson, was apprehended by police at the next station. Johnson was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and robbery.
He had a criminal record and was on probation during the attack, leading to an additional charge of violating his probation.
