  • Ramos still identifies as a male in his everyday life, but he made the legal change because the judicial system tends to favor mothers in custody cases.
  • So Ramos legally changed his gender to try to persuade the courts to grant him custody of his two children.
  • “The laws say that the one who has the right is the woman. As of this moment, I am female. Now I’m also a mom, that’s how I consider myself,” Ramos told reporters last week.
