• A man was stabbed in the neck and killed inside the Petworth Neighborhood Library in D.C. Thursday evening, the Metropolitan Police Department said.
• The incident took place around 7 p.m., police said. A witness to the stabbing tweeted that he and his kids were sitting right next to the man as it took place.
• The incident began as an argument between two homeless individuals who were known to each other, MPD said, adding that the suspect approached the victim a few minutes after the victim sat down at a computer. Police said he then slowly approached him, pulled out a knife, and began stabbing.
