- Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) is set for a tough reelection bid in 2024, with one of the top possible candidates far ahead of him in statewide approval ratings.
- Gov. Jim Justice (R-WV) has an approval rating of 64%, while Manchin’s approval rating is 40%, per Morning Consult.
- The polls, which were conducted from Oct. 1, 2022, through Dec. 31, 2022, among registered voters, showed Justice with only a 31% disapproval rating, while Manchin had a 53% disapproval rating. They have shot back into the spotlight as Justice, who is term-limited, has teased a run for Senate.
