- Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) refused to rule out a bid for the White House in 2024 on Wednesday, in which he would launch a challenge against President Joe Biden in the Democratic primaries.
- The senator told Fox Business host Larry Kudlow that he had not closed the door on a presidential run in 2024, after Kudlow asked if the senator would run for the Democratic nomination as a “moderate, old-line, pro-growth, well-balanced Democrat.”
- “I’m very much concerned about the direction of our country. I will make a decision later on where I can help the country the best I possibly can — and my state. I’m looking for moderate middle,” Manchin replied.
