- The first two bids for the 2023 NCAA Tournament were secured Saturday including on the Fairleigh Dickenson, which got in on a technicality and without having to wins its conference title.
- After Selection Sunday, the first four March Madness will be played on March 14. After those so-called play-in games, the real first round begins March 16. The second round is March 18-19. This year’s Final Four is at the NRG Stadium in Houston, from April 1-3.
- This Sunday, three more teams will get a bid – the winners of the Big South Tournament title game, the Missouri Valley final and the Atlantic Sun title game.
- A total of 68 teams make the tournament.
