McDonald’s CEO Tells Chicago’s Lightfoot: ‘Our City Is In Crisis’

  • Chicago’s protracted crime wave led McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinki, whose company is based in downtown Chicago, to hint that the company might not stay in the city.
  • Kempczinki: “Everywhere I go, I’m confronted by the same question. ‘What’s going on in Chicago?’” Kempczinski said. “There is a general sense out there that our city is in crisis.”
