A jersey donned by renowned basketball icon Michael Jordan during his participation in the 1992 Summer Olympics fetched an impressive sum of $3.03 million in an auction held on Thursday.
The auction was organized by Goldin, an online platform specializing in collectibles.
Referred to as “The Dream Team,” the U.S. basketball squad was composed of a formidable lineup of all-time greats, featuring Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. The participation of NBA players in the Olympics was allowed for the first time during that period.
