• Slotkin and husband Dave Moore, told the Detroit Free Press over the weekend: “After careful consideration, we are saddened to announce that we are divorcing after 12 years of marriage. We’ve reached this decision together after much reflection and we do it on agreeable terms.”
• The couple met while in Iraq in 2009 and later married in 2011.
• Slotkin has been in office since winning election in 2018 and is a considered a top, potential 2024 candidate to replace retiring Michigan Democratic Sen. Debbie Stabenow.
•  After 9/11, she was recruited by the Central Intelligence Agency to be a Middle East analyst and worked alongside the U.S. military during three tours in Iraq as a militia expert, according to her official congressional bio.
