A groundbreaking brain surgery performed by doctors in the womb has successfully saved a baby from a deadly genetic disorder.
Derek and Kenyatta Coleman, a couple from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, were thrilled when they discovered that they were expecting their third child. The pregnancy appeared to be normal, with unremarkable biophysical profiles and low risk according to genetic testing.
