- House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy and Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell are likely to butt heads next year on sending more money to help Ukraine.
- McCarthy, who will be Speaker if Republicans win the House in November, has warned that a House GOP majority won’t write a “blank check” to Ukraine.
- McConnell has warned that Russia’s aggression could threaten U.S. allies and has led GOP support for sending generous military and financial aid to Kyiv.
