• Republican Montana Representative Ryan Zinke criticized the Biden administration for not immediately taking action and shooting down the Chinese surveillance balloon that was hovering above the state he represents.
• The Montana Republican and former Navy SEAL had a very simple solution for getting rid of China’s surveillance balloon: “We should have shot it down. It’s embarrassing. Because the US faces clear and present danger with the Chinese and we can’t shoot down a balloon over rural Montana?”
• Roosevelt County, the area that the balloon was above, is not a populated area at all, so there is no reason the balloon shouldn’t have been shot down, Zinke noted.
