  • Since then, Mohammed has been Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, awaiting trial. Experts say the enhanced interrogation techniques he endured would make it difficult to try him in a civilian court.
  • David Kelley, a former U.S. attorney in New York, called it “an awful tragedy for the families of the victims.”
