Morocco Protests World Cup Loss, Cites ‘Grotesque Refereeing’

  • Morocco has filed an official protest to FIFA in reference to referee Cesar Ramos’ performance following its loss to France in the semifinals of the FIFA World Cup Wednesday.
  • The Moroccans are protesting what they label as “grotesque refereeing.” Morocco is claiming that Ramos refused them “two obvious penalties” during the first half of the match.
  • Moroccan FA said in a statement: “The Royal Moroccan Football Federation strongly protested the refereeing of the Moroccan national team match against the French national team, led by Cesar Ramos.”
