Mortage Rates Hit 6.7%, Highest In 15 Years

• Freddie Mac reported that the average on the 30-year mortgage rate rose 6.7% from 6.29% last week.
• That’s the highest average rate in 15 years. A year ago the rate was 3.01%.
• The soaring mortgage rate is likely to sideline prospective homebuyers.
