MTG Joins House Homeland Security Committee

  • Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has been given a spot on House committees in the 118th Congress after the Republican firebrand became a vocal backer of Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) bid for the House speaker position.
  • The House GOP Steering Committee placed Greene on the House Homeland Security Committee, which will play a crucial role in conducting oversight over the Biden administration’s border policies.
  • The rosters for the committees, however, need to be approved by the entire House GOP conference.
