- Musk was invited by House minority leader Kevin McCarthy, in whose district SpaceX is headquartered
- The South African reportedly told the elite gathering that Republicans need to be more supportive of immigrants
- He also warned them to avoid getting weighed down in questions of personal choice, saying they must “stay out of people’s bedrooms”
