- NASA launched a new 16-member independent study team to investigate unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs), previously called UFOs.
- The team will focus on how data gathered by civilians, governments, and commercial businesses can be used to learn more about UAPs.
- Over the course of the nine-month study, the team also aims to lay the groundwork for future research.
