The Metro Nashville Police Department has decided to put a hold on releasing the manifesto of the Covenant School shooter due to some ongoing legal issues. A spokesperson for the department told the Daily Caller News Foundation that they had to suspend the release because of “pending litigation.”

Earlier, the department had been hesitant to share the manifesto of the shooter, Audrey Hale, who was a 28-year-old transgender person.

The manifesto suggested that Hale had been planning the mass shooting for several months and had been studying other killers. However, a city official had previously said that the documents might be released once the FBI finished analyzing them. The MNPD had also been reviewing the journals and writing for release, but now it looks like that won’t be happening for now.
