- The Pelicans, aka the Pels, won both games, ending with players getting up in one another’s faces as time expired.
- Pelicans fans booed Suns point guard Chris Paul throughout the game, prompting Phoenix color commentator Eddie Johnson to accuse New Orleans of using a “boo” machine to amplify the crowd noise. New Orleans officials say that all of those boos were from authentic Pelicans fans.
