NBA Team Launches Arabic Language Social Media Platforms

The Washington Wizards have started Arabic-language social media platforms, making it the first NBA franchise to create social media specifically for Arabic-speaking audiences.

  • The team’s Instagram and Twitter handles are @WizardsArabic.
  • Visitors to the sites can get such content as game analysis and player interviews
  • The Wizards and six other NBA teams already have Spanish-language social media accounts.
  • Such efforts reportedly are to increase the Wizard’s “international presence.”
