Newsom Rips Target For Pulling LGBTQ Products From Some Stores

California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) criticized Target’s CEO, Brian Cornell, for removing LGBTQ and Pride month merchandise from store shelves due to backlash and threats of violence from certain customers.

In a tweet posted on Tuesday night, Newsom condemned Cornell’s decision, accusing him of “selling out” the LGBTQ+ community to extremists.

Newsom emphasized that the issue extended beyond a few stores in the South, asserting that there was an ongoing and widespread attack on the gay community throughout the country.
