NJ Fugitive Busted After Applying For Job At Sheriff’s Office

  • Zyeama Y. Johnson, a Jersey City, N.J., resident, was arrested after applying for a job with the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office.
  • It turns out Johnson had outstanding warrants in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. That included 10 bench warrants for failing to appear in court in Jersey City on traffic charges, and another for failing to appear in Pennsylvania on fraud charges.
  • A detective arrested Johnson after confirming the warrants.
  • In the process, police also learned that Johnson possessed two credit cards believed to be stolen.
