Mayor Eric Adams stated on Tuesday that there is potential consideration for utilizing 20 public school gyms in the city to accommodate migrants.

He asserted that this is merely a possibility, despite evidence of beds being set up in two gyms and principals alerting parents about the situation.

Mayor Adams emphasized that the city has not yet reached a point of the overwhelming influx of migrants would require housing them in gyms.
