• Barack Obama and Tulsi Gabbard used to be Democrat allies, but now that Gabbard has left the Democrat Party, they find themselves knocking heads in support of rival candidates on the campaign trail.
• Obama and Gabbard are among the most popular surrogates requested by candidates.
• In Michigan next week, for example, Obama will be campaigning with Gov. Gretchen Whitmer while Gabbard will be stumping for GOP challenger Tudor Dixon, who is locked in a dead heat with Whitmer and just received the endorsement of The Detroit News.
