One Year In, Congress Spent Over $100 Billion On Ukraine
Committee for Responsible Federal Budget expects more spending to come

- Coming up on the one-year anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the United States has set aside well over $100 billion in taxpayer dollars to aid Kyiv.
- In 2022, the U.S. Congress committed more than $113 billion in support for Ukraine across four major spending packages.
- Of the funding approved in 2022, around three-fifths was allocated toward defense needs and two-fifths to non-defense concerns, which includes general Ukrainian government aid, economic support, and aid for refugee resettlement.
