- The GOP-controlled House impeached Paxton.
- Phelan says Paxton, who essentially served as judge in the Senate trial, confessing his bias when she says Phelan and his team had “rammed” impeachment through the lower chamber “while paying no attention to the precedent” set in past proceedings.
