  • Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi threw out the first pitch on Tuesday for the Washington Nationals in their game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
  • The first pitch was thrown during the Nationals annual “Night OUT” game, which is the longest running LGBTQ+ event in the MLB.
  • In a statement released Monday, the Nationals said that Pelosi “is being recognized for her long-standing commitment to fighting for the rights and dignities of the LGBTQ+ community.”
