Peloton Recalls Over 2 Million Bikes

Peloton has issued a recall of 2.2 million of its original bikes due to the potential for the seat post to break off while the equipment is in use, as disclosed in a company filing with the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The recall notice instructs consumers to “immediately stop using the recalled exercise bikes.”

According to the CPSC, Peloton has received 35 reports of the seat post breaking during rides, resulting in 13 injuries, including lacerations, bruises, and a fractured wrist caused by falls from the bike due to the faulty component.
